A Night in Old San Antonio (NIOSA)

NIOSA is the top fundraiser for historic preservation in the United States- living up to its motto as a “Celebration for Preservation”.

 It is solely produced by and benefits The Conservation Society of San Antonio (one of the nation’s oldest and most active historic preservation organizations).

“A Night In Old San Antonio” pays homage to the city’s diverse culture with food, music and decor that transforms the village into 14 distinct areas.

NIOSA occurs in the heart of downtown San Antonio on the grounds of La Villita Historic Arts Village District, with its four+ acres of historic buildings, cobblestones streets, wall and fountains.  This event will run from April 23rd thru April 26th, 2024.  From 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20. Starting March 1, 2024 Tickets will be available online, area H-E-Bs, and other locations TBD
NIOSA 2024 will again sell paper coupons for food, drink, souvenirs on the grounds that can be purchased on the NIOSA grounds during the event.
All backpacks and any bags larger than 12” x 12” x 6”–including diaper bags–are prohibited.
We encourage the use of clear bags so that we can expedite entry into our event

Fiesta Flambeau Parade

  • Leading our parade for its 76th year is our premier band, The University of Texas Longhorn Band, followed by spectacular themed floats, marching units, local, out of town and out of state bands, dance groups, equestrian units and many other attractions that create a memorable night of illuminated entertainment

 

  • The 2024 Fiesta Flambeau® Parade will celebrate with “Lotsa Loteria” as the parade theme. It is the largest illuminated night parade in the country and the highlight of Fiesta®. The Fiesta Flambeau® Parade continues to light up the streets of downtown San Antonio along the 2.6-mile route and viewed by an estimated 750,000+ spectators and another 1.5 million television audience.

 

  •  The parade began in 1948 and will celebrate its San Antonio’s cultural Heritage using Loteria cards created by this year’s poster artist, Victoria Lara.
    The cards feature iconic elements of San Antonio’s architecture, organizations and persons.

 

  • Flambeau is a French word meaning “burning torch”.

 

  • The Fiesta Flambeau® Parade Association, Inc.’s mission statement is: to plan, organize, produce, and stage the Fiesta Flambeau® Parade annually during Fiesta® San Antonio. The Association shall do so to enhance the celebration for the San Antonio community and its visitors. It is a non-profit organization with 65 members and more than 300 volunteer Ambassadors.

 

  • In 2006, the Fiesta Flambeau® Parade Association, Inc. introduced “Torchy” as its official mascot. Torchy is a year-round parade symbol spreading goodwill and cheer as well as representing the Association’s charitable foundation, he encourages reading, literacy and education by visiting elementary schools.
